Killer mother will not face charges

A court in Australia has ruled that Raina Thaiday, 40, who stabbed her seven children and a niece – aged two to 14 – to death in a bid to “save them” from the apocalypse should not face charges. It found she was suffering from severe schizophrenia, possibly linked to her long-term use of cannabis.
