Hunt for driver who hit cyclist

Police are hunting for a motorist who followed two cyclists before deliberately smashing into one of them and knocking him off his bike.

A 32-year-old man suffered serious head injuries after a silver Vauxhall Astra with several people inside crossed a grass verge and drove into him. Police said the car was spotted driving without its headlights on before the crash in Southampton on Monday. The second cyclist, aged 30, was unharmed.
