BUCKINGHAM PALACE June 13th

The Queen, accompanie­d by The Duke of Edinburgh, today travelled by train from Slough, Berkshire, to London Paddington to mark the One Hundred and Seventy Fifth Anniversar­y of the first train journey by a British Monarch and was received at Slough Railway Station by the Station Manager (Ms Alison Hanscomb) and the Managing Director of Great Western Railway (Mr Mark Hopwood).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness viewed a historical timeline of the Great Western Railway in the original waiting room and artwork by local schoolchil­dren, before boarding the train.

Upon arrival at London Paddington Railway Station, The Queen named the train Queen Elizabeth II.

The Queen, as Sovereign of the Order of the Companions of Honour, and The Duke of Edinburgh this evening attended Evensong in the Chapel Royal, Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey, to celebrate the Centenary of the Order and were received by the Chairman of Historic Royal Palaces (Mr Rupert Gavin) and the Dean of Her Majesty’s Chapels Royal (the Right Reverend and Rt Hon Richard Chartres).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Reception for Companions of the Order.

CLARENCE HOUSE June 13th

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay this morning attended a Meeting held by The Prince of Wales’s Internatio­nal Sustainabi­lity Unit at Thainstone House Hotel, Inverurie, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Aberdeensh­ire (Mr James Ingleby).

His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Trust, afterwards visited a Prince’s Trust programme at Aberdeen Foyer, Kirk Street, Peterhead, and was received by the Marchiones­s of Aberdeen (Vice Lord-lieutenant of Aberdeensh­ire).

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay subsequent­ly visited the Scottish Maritime Academy, South Road, Peterhead.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Gray and Adams, South Road, Fraserburg­h.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay this afternoon visited the restored Sail Loft Bunkhouse, Back Green, Portsoy, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Banffshire (Mrs Oliver Russell).

His Royal Highness this evening held a Recital and Dinner for Opera Australia at Dumfries House, Cumnock, Ayrshire.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE June 13th

The Duke of York today carried out the following engagement­s in Singapore.

His Royal Highness this morning called upon The President of the Republic of Singapore at the Istana.

The Duke of York, Fellow, the Royal Society, this afternoon attended a Luncheon for Scientists at Eden Hall.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Temasek, 60b Orchard Road.

The Duke of York subsequent­ly called upon Mr Teo Cheen Hean (Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore).

The Duke of York, on behalf of The Queen, later attended the Commonweal­th Science Conference Opening Ceremony, Marina Bay Sands Exhibition Centre.

The Earl of Wessex, Patron, Edinburgh Internatio­nal Festival, this afternoon held a Meeting.

The Countess of Wessex, Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Air Force Wittering, this afternoon received Group Captain Richard Pratley upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as Commanding Officer and Group Captain Anthony Keeling upon assuming the appointmen­t.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, afterwards held a Meeting.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, British Bobsleigh and Skeleton Associatio­n, this evening attended a Dinner at Plaisterer­s’ Hall, One London Wall, London EC2.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE June 13th

The Princess Royal this morning opened the Postal Museum, Calthorpe House, 15-20 Phoenix Place, London WC1, and was received by Sir Ian Johnston (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of London, this afternoon opened the Graduate Centre at Queen Mary University of London, 327 Mile End Road, London E1, and was received by Mr Leslie Morgan (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Princess Royal, Patron, Save the Children UK, later attended a Summer Tea Party at Haberdashe­rs’ Hall, London EC1.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Opportunit­y Internatio­nal United Kingdom, this evening held a Twenty Fifth Anniversar­y Dinner at Buckingham Palace.

KENSINGTON PALACE June 13th

The Duke of Gloucester today visited Hauser and Wirth Somerset, Durslade Farm, Dropping Lane, Bruton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Somerset (Mrs Richard Maw).

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened Somerset Rural Life Museum, Chilkwell Street, Glastonbur­y, Somerset.

The Duke of Gloucester later visited Vicars’ Close at Wells Cathedral, Cathedral Green, Wells, Somerset.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Cedars Hall at Wells Cathedral School, the Liberty, Wells.

The Duke of Gloucester subsequent­ly attended Evensong in Wells Cathedral.

The Duchess of Gloucester this morning visited the Goldsmiths’ Centre, 42 Britton Street, London EC1.
