Woman boss lifts Oxford’s ranking

Oxford University’s reputation has caught up with Cambridge after the appointment of its first female vice chancellor.

Cambridge has beaten its rival since the Times Higher Education (THE) World Reputation Rankings began in 2011, but this year they came joint fourth. Phil Baty, from THE, said: “Having a woman at the helm means there is a sense of change, momentum and difference.”
