Cancer patient could not be treated after attack

A man has been jailed for life after attacking a cancer patient so brutally that she could no longer receive treatment and died prematurely.

Judith Ducker, 64, suffered a fractured skull, a fractured eye socket and bruising to the brain at the hands of robber Paul Storm Bueitt, 36.

Sheffield Crown Court was told that Bueitt, who was convicted of murder, hit Mrs Ducker in Wellgate News in Rotherham town centre before taking £40. The injuries she sustained resulted in her being unable to undergo breast cancer treatment and she died seven weeks later.
