Day 7 THURSDAY JULY 20
Brits to watch
This could be the chance for GB golden girl wheelchair racer Hannah Cockroft to claim a third success as she targets glory in the T34 400m. Soon afterwards world record holder Georgie Hermitage defends her T37 400m title. Veteran Stephen Miller, dominant in the F32 club throw in the late 1990s and early 2000s, will be aiming to better his bronze in Rio.
Foreign star
Walid Ktila (below) celebrates his 32nd birthday at these championships, and after winning gold at the Rio 2016 Paralympics in the 100m T34, the Tunisian wheelchair sprinter will be looking to regain his 2015 World Championships form where it was gold all the way. Ktila’s biggest rival will be UAE’S Mohammed al Hammadi.
Don’t miss event
Abdellatif Baka, a visually impaired Algerian, broke a world record in the T13 1500m in Rio – where the now 23-year-old was faster than the USA’S Matt Centrowitz, who won Olympic 1500m gold a month earlier.
