Cacophony in blue
SIR – Gerard O’donavan (Review, October 30) rightly acknowledges the astonishing photography of Blue Planet II, but fails to mention the apparently obligatory loud music that accompanies such productions.
Chases were always accompanied by a crescendo of drumming and whooshes, drowning out the natural sounds. Why must producers insist on spoiling programmes with this racket? Andrew Blake
