Gremlins (1984)
TCM, 9.00PM ★★★★★
An enjoyably boisterous, sometimes grisly horror comedy that should make older children coo (at the furry, cuddly-looking Mogwai creatures) and shriek (at the hideous scaly Gremlins). For Christmas, a father buys his son (Zach Galligan) a pet: a cute but mysterious little beast, which must never be exposed to bright light, get wet, or be fed after midnight – or very nasty things will happen.
