Prevenge (2016)

 Producer, writer, director and star Alice Lowe was pregnant in real life when she made this daring horror comedy. She plays a soon-to-be mother who goes on a murder spree after being instructed to do so by her unborn child. It’s a gory flick, and the humour is as black as it comes, but it is a fresh and sharply executed idea. Gemma Whelan, Kayvan Novak and Jo Hartley are among the brilliant support cast.
