ENEMY ACROSS THE TAGLIAMENTO
ALLIES’ AID FOR ITALY
In the Italian theatre of war the operations, after the relative lull of the last two days, are again developing unfavourably for our Allies. Despite what appears to be a strong and gallant resistance by the left wing of the Italian armies involved, the enemy has been able to force the passage of the Tagliamento north of Pinzano, some fifteen miles north-west of Udine, where the river flows through a deep valley, bordered by precipitous hills.
