Ready for anything
SIR – Aidan Chivers (Letters, November 16) is concerned that children in France have to follow a twice-yearly drill on what to do in case of a terrorist attack.
Two of my grandchildren, who live in Japan, undertake weekly practices at school. These are conducted not only in preparation for an earthquake, but also, now, for a missile attack.
Better safe than sorry?
