Now, about the stag do ... high jinks and discretion expected

- By Victoria Ward

THE DUKE OF CAMBRIDGE, who will almost certainly be Prince Harry’s best man, will have the unenviable task of organising his brother’s stag do.

The party-loving Prince will have big expectations for a good send-off, no doubt involving some high jinks from his closest band of friends and plenty of alcohol.

But having had his fingers burnt many times, he is unlikely to risk getting photographed falling out of a trendy London nightclub. Instead, he might follow his brother’s lead and go for the safer option, marking the end of his bachelor days with a private party at a friend’s country estate.

If he wanted to risk a wilder weekend, the group could head abroad, although discretion would be key.

Among the attendees will be Guy Pelly, a nightclub owner renowned for his love of partying, Arthur Landon, who was on the infamous Las Vegas trip, Thomas “Skippy” Inskip, who was at Eton with the Prince, and Thomas van Straubenzee, one of his closest friends. The young men are all likely candidates to be ushers.

For her part, Meghan Markle has close female friends to whom she is extremely loyal. Among those who could be a bridesmaid are Misha Nonoo, a Bahrain-born fashion designer, who is believed to have first introduced the pair and who designed the white shirt Ms Markle wore when she accompanied the Prince on their first appearance as a couple at the Invictus Games in Toronto.
