Man jailed for selling opioids on dark web

- By Daily Telegraph Reporter

A DRUG dealer used an online store on the dark web to supply customers, including four who later died.

Kyle Enos, 25, of Newport, South Wales, sold the powerful synthetic opioid fentanyl to 168 people in the UK, Europe and the US between May 2016 and May 2017.

Officers wore biohazard suits and respirators due to the danger of the drug when they searched Enos’s home and arrested him in May 2017. They discovered that four UK customers had died, though it is not possible to say whether their deaths were linked to fentanyl that he supplied.

The dead customers were Jonathon Robinson, 25, from Northumbria; Jack Barton, 23, who died in Cardiff; and Aaron Rees, 34, from Carmarthenshire in Wales. The fourth person, who was not named, died in Scotland. Enos admitted charges of importing, supplying and exporting fentanyl. He was jailed for eight years at Cardiff Crown Court.
