Former Saatchi designer ‘assaulted’ by her boyfriend

- By Daily Telegraph Reporter

A FORMER Saatchi & Saatchi designer was assaulted by her boyfriend in their Kensington home as their relationship fell apart, a court heard.

In an argument, Colin Comiskey, 34, grabbed his partner, Ellen Van De Vusse, and squeezed her arms tightly in order to stop her from going into the kitchen, Westminster Magistrates’ Court heard. He is then accused of throwing food at her.

The police were called regarding the incident on January 12 this year, and Mr Comiskey was arrested.

Aimee Emby, for the prosecution, told the court of another incident. “There was an argument, on a date of which the complainant is not sure,” she stated.

“The defendant, upon being told the relationship was over, kicked her out of the bed. No injuries were sustained,” he added. Mr Comiskey, of West Kensington, denied two counts of assault by beating. He was granted conditional bail and told not to contact Ms Van De Vusse.

The trial has been listed to return to Westminster Magistrates’ Court on June 26.
