BUCKINGHAM PALACE May 4th

The Queen held an Investitur­e at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Afterwards the Viscount Brookeboro­ugh was received by Her Majesty when The Queen conferred upon him the honour of Knighthood and invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter.

CLARENCE HOUSE May 4th

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, President, The Prince’s Foundation, this morning held a Meeting at Dumfries House, Cumnock, Ayrshire.

His Royal Highness, Patron, afterwards held a Meeting of the North Highland Initiative.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, President, The Prince’s Foundation, and President, The Prince’s Trust Group, subsequent­ly held a Meeting.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Boswell Mausoleum, Auchinleck, Ayrshire.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay this evening held a Reception and later held a Dinner at Dumfries House for Boswell Book Festival.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE May 4th

The Princess Royal, accompanie­d by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today attended a Service at Port Ellen War Memorial, Isle of Islay, marking the Centenary of the loss of SS Tuscania and HMS Otranto followed by a Reception at Ramsay Hall, Port Ellen, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Argyll and Bute (Mr Patrick Stewart).

Her Royal Highness, accompanie­d by Admiral Laurence, this afternoon visited the Commonweal­th War Graves at Kilnaughto­n Cemetery, Kildalton and Oa, Isle of Islay.

The Princess Royal, accompanie­d by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, later visited the American Monument, Mull of Oa, Isle of Islay.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, First World War Centenary Woods Project, afterwards dedicated the wood at Dunlossit Estate, Ballygrant, Isle of Islay, and was received by Dr Grace Gibson (Deputy Lieutenant of Argyll and Bute).
