The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall today undertook engagement­s in Lyon, France.

The Prince of Wales, accompanie­d by The Duchess of Cornwall, this afternoon attended a Victory in Europe Commemorat­ion Ceremony at the War Memorial in the Parc de la Tête d’or and laid a wreath.

Their Royal Highnesses later visited les Halles de Lyon-paul Bocuse.

The Prince of Wales subsequent­ly visited the Internatio­nal Criminal Police Organizati­on.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Isara-lyon University.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited a women’s shelter.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Emmaus UK, subsequent­ly visited Emmaus Lyon.

KENSINGTON PALACE May 8th

The Duke of Cambridge this afternoon received Professor Dame Sally Davies (Chief Medical Officer).

BUCKINGHAM PALACE May 8th

The Earl of Wessex, Royal Honorary Colonel, Royal Wessex Yeomanry, this morning held a Meeting.

The Countess of Wessex this morning opened Western Sussex Eye Care, Southlands Hospital, Upper Shoreham Road, Shorehamby-sea, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of West Sussex (Mrs Susan Pyper).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Dementia Support Centre, Salisbury House, City Fields Way, Tangmere.

The Countess of Wessex later opened the Emergency Operations Centre and Headquarte­rs of South East Coast Ambulance Service, Nexus House, Gatwick Road, Crawley.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE May 8th

The Princess Royal, Prime Warden, the Fishmonger­s’ Company, this afternoon attended the Not a Master in Sight Luncheon at Goldsmiths’ Hall, Foster Lane, London EC2.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Transaid, later received Mr Gary Forster upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as Chief Executive and Dr Caroline Barber upon assuming the appointmen­t.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Royal Geographic­al Society, received Dr Rita Gardner upon relinquish­ing her appointmen­t as Director and Professor Jonathan Smith upon assuming the appointmen­t.

Her Royal Highness, Royal Patron, National Coastwatch Institutio­n, this evening attended a Reception at the Corporatio­n of Trinity House, Trinity Square, London EC3.

ST JAMES’S PALACE May 8th

The Duke of Kent, Royal Patron, this afternoon presented British-german Associatio­n Medals of Honour at St James’s Palace.

His Royal Highness later officially opened the Jack Pouchot building, Westminste­r City School, 55 Palace Street, London SW1.
