Symantic shares slump to lowest since 2001
The cybersecurity group behind the Norton Antivirus software, Symantic, saw its shares plunge around 35pc yesterday, in their steepest fall since 2001, after it revealed it had launched an internal audit following concerns raised by a former employee. Symantic said the issue was not security-related. Around $6bn (£4.4bn) was wiped off its value after news of the audit.
