Mr Mark Spencer, MP (Vicechamberlain of the Household) was received in audience by The Queen today and presented an Address from the House of Commons to which Her Majesty was graciously pleased to make reply.
Lady Mary Fagan was received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested her with the Insignia of a Lady Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter.
CLARENCE HOUSE May 17th
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended the dedication of the National Memorial to Victims of Overseas Terrorism at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Staffordshire (Mr Ian Dudson).
The Prince of Wales this afternoon received the Rt Hon Matthew Hancock, MP (Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport).
His Royal Highness, Patron, this evening held a Reception at Clarence House for the Actors’ Benevolent Fund.

The Duke of York, this afternoon visited Hambro Perks Limited, 8 Greencoat Place, London SW1.
His Royal Highness, Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Air Force Lossiemouth, later received Air Commodore Paul Godfrey upon relinquishing his appointment as Station Commander and Group Captain James Walls upon assuming the appointment.
The Duke of York, Patron, this evening presented the Royal Aero Club Trust Awards at the Royal Air Force Club, 128 Piccadilly, London W1.

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this morning held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace.
The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and The Countess of Wessex, Chairman, Women in Business Committee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, today held Receptions in the garden of Buckingham Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.
The Duke of York was present in the morning and The Princess Royal was present in the afternoon.
The Royal Marine Band (Scotland) and the Band of the Royal Gurkha Rifles played selections of music during the day.

The Princess Royal, Patron, this morning launched the Royal College of Occupational Therapists’ “Strategic Intentions” at Fishmonger’s Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.
Her Royal Highness, President, the English-speaking Union of the Commonwealth, this afternoon held a Centenary Reception at St James’s Palace.
The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, this evening attended the London Scottish Football Club’s Legends Dinner at the Hurlingham Club, Ranelagh Gardens, London SW6, and was received by Mrs Sandra Cahill (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
ST JAMES’S PALACE May 17th
The Duke of Kent this morning visited the Bottle Yard Studios, Whitchurch Lane, Bristol, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of the County and City of Bristol (Mrs Peaches Golding).
His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Watershed, 1 Canon’s Road, Bristol.
The Duke of Kent afterwards visited Colston Hall, Colston Street, Bristol.

Princess Alexandra this afternoon visited St Michael’s Hospice, Bartestree, Hereford, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Herefordshire (the Countess of Darnley).
Her Royal Highness later visited specialist furniture makers, I. and J.L. Brown Limited, Whitestone Park, Whitestone, near Hereford.
