Pensioner arrested after human remains found
A 78-year-old has been arrested at a million-pound property after human remains were found at a rubbish tip.
The pensioner was arrested on suspicion of preventing an unlawful burial after officers were called to the home in Hackney, London, on Monday. Forensic teams were last night searching the house and a refuse site in Edmonton, north London.
A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: “Police were called at approximately 10.40 on Monday to Blackstock Road.
“A man was arrested at a residential address on suspicion of preventing the lawful and decent burial of a body. He remains in custody. Enquiries remain ongoing.”
