The Spring Bank Holiday Congress took place at the Crowne Plaza in Stratford, writes Julian Pottage, Bridge Correspondent. The Championship Pairs involved a two session qualifier followed by two session finals. Winners of the A final are as follows: 1st Shahzaad Natt and David Bahkshi, 58.58%; 2nd Ben Norton and Stephen Kennedy, 56.24% ( juniors); 3rd Eddie Lucioni and John Dakin, 56.04%; 4th Eric Cummings and Ceri Pierce, 55.17%; and 5th Nicola Smith and Kay Preddy. 54.48%.

Winners of the B final are: 1st Marusa Basa and Diane Nettleton, 62.28%; 2nd Susan Johnson and Steve Root, 57.31%; and 3rd Victor Milman and Nadia Stelmashenko, 56.24%.
