A wild weekend for nature lovers

-

From sitting in your own bird’s nest to taking an all-night moonlit ramble hunting for glow worms – this weekend will see thousands of people get outside and enjoy the best of nature.

This Saturday and Sunday the Wildlife Trust hosts the first ever Big Wild Weekend, which will involve some 200 events across the country to help more people enjoy and explore their natural surroundings.

It marks the middle of the charity’s 30 Days Wild campaign – an annual nature challenge that dares people to do something wild every day in June.

This year the number of participants has topped all previous records with more than 67,000 individuals, schools and workplaces signed-up to challenges including open air yoga, hatching college or expeditions looking for owls.
