Thieves took injured rider’s motorcycle
Police have described two moped thieves as the “lowest of the low” after they stole a man’s motorcycle as he lay by the side of the road with serious head injuries following a crash. The 28-year-old victim had been riding his motorbike in the Gorton area of Manchester when he lost control and hit a lamppost.
Fortunately another motorist who was passing a short time later did stop and alerted the emergency services.
The victim remains in intensive care in a critical condition.
Detective Constable Nick Kershaw from Greater Manchester Police said: “This is a despicable crime. The thought of it makes me feel sick.”
