Off target Javid refuses to commit to migration goal

Sajid Javid has suggested the Government’s net migration target could be dropped after he refused to commit to it publicly and laughed when asked if he wanted to ditch it. The Home Secretary repeatedly refused to commit to the target of cutting net migration to the tens of thousands, which was included in the Conservative manifesto and backed by the Prime Minister, increasing fears that it may be abandoned.
