Pay for interpreter to see GP, Danes tell migrants
Denmark has introduced legislation forcing people who have lived in the country for more than three years to pay for interpreters if required during medical treatment.
The rules, introduced on July 1, outline new charges for patients who have been in Denmark for more than three years and who do not have the necessary language skills.
Doctors voiced concerns that the charges, which the ministry of health estimates will save £285,000 per year, could lead to misunderstandings.
