Rare white porpoise seen off the coast of Cornwall

A rare white porpoise has been sighted off the coast of Cornwall. It was seen by Duncan and Hannah Jones of Marine Discovery Penzance during a wildlife-watching sea trip last week.

Hannah said: “As we sailed out of the bay, something white and luminous caught Duncan’s eye. We couldn’t work out what it was at first, as it was so white, but much too small to be a Risso’s dolphin. An upside down common dolphin? No – it turned out to be something we have heard about, but have never had the good fortune to witness, until now.”
