Book of the Week: The Freedom Papers

Book of the Week is in a different format from usual this week in collaboration with the Edinburgh Book Festival, as five writers reflect on the modern meaning of freedom. Yan Lianke, Sandip Roy, Nicola Davies, Carmen Maria Machado, Gavin Francis and Esa Aldegheri are among 51 authors from 25 countries who have been commissioned by the festival to produce stories, poems, illustrations and more on the subject and its resonances in immigration, LGBTQ+, race, technology, disability and education.
