Trainees used to cover rig shifts

Oil-rig operator Apache has been told it was “significantly failing” to meet health and safety standards by having trainees cover shifts alongside regular staff. The Health and Safety Executive issued an improvement notice after inspecting operations at its Beryl Bravo platform in the North Sea.
