Bargain Hunt is reshot after bidding blunder

-

Celebrity Bargain Hunt had to be reshot after the winning team were disqualified for breaking the rules when the girlfriend of a team member bid for his items.

Two bands, Happy Mondays and Pulp, competed on the BBC daytime show, broadcast yesterday, but the error was only realised after filming.

The girlfriend of dance legend Bez, of Happy Mondays, successfully bid on two items – a mirror and a turntable – during the end-of-show auction. It gave his team a winning £8 profit.

Jarvis Cocker and Candida Doyle, members of the Nineties group Pulp, lost £95 on their items, but were awarded the win by default.
