BUCKINGHAM PALACE October 1st
The Earl and Countess of Wessex this morning departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for France and were received upon arrival at Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris, this afternoon by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the French Republic (His Excellency the Lord Llewellyn of Steep).
The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, and The Countess of Wessex, Global Ambassador, this afternoon visited Salle du Jeu de Paume, 1 Rue du Jeu de Paume, Versailles, as part of His Royal Highness’s The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Real Tennis Tour.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex afterwards visited the Palace of Versailles.
Their Royal Highnesses later visited Notre Dame du Grandchamp High School, 97 Rue Royale, Versailles.
The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, and The Countess of Wessex, Global Ambassador, this evening attended a Dinner at le Cercle de l’union Interalliée, 33 Rue du Faubourg Saint-honoré, Paris.
Mrs Angus Galletley and Colonel Paul Arengo-jones are in attendance.
BUCKINGHAM PALACE October 1st
The Princess Royal, Patron, the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, this afternoon opened the Redcar Bureau, 17 Queen Street, Redcar, and was received by Sir Harry Wilmot (Deputy Lieutenant of North Yorkshire).
Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation, Willie Maddren Centre, the Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire.
The Princess Royal, Patron, Restorative Justice Council, subsequently visited Victims First Northumbria, Cobalt Business Exchange, Wallsend, Newcastle upon Tyne, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Tyne and Wear (Mrs Susan Winfield).

The Duchess of Gloucester, President, this afternoon attended a Meeting of the Governing Body at the Royal Academy of Music, Marylebone Road, London NW1.
ST JAMES’S PALACE October 1st
The Duke of Kent, President, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, today carried out the following engagements in the Republic of Macedonia to commemorate the Centenary of the Armistice of Thessalonica.
His Royal Highness this morning laid a wreath at the 10th Irish Division Memorial, Rabrovo.
The Duke of Kent this afternoon laid a wreath at the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery, Skopje.
His Royal Highness later attended a Tea given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Macedonia (Her Excellency Ms Rachel Galloway) at the Residence in Skopje for representatives of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia and organisations involved in the Centenary Commemorations.
The Duke of Kent this evening arrived at Royal Air Force Northolt from the Republic of Macedonia.
Mr Nicholas Marden was in attendance.
