Burglars target Beckhams as they head for Invictus Games
ONE of David and Victoria Beckham’s homes has reportedly been targeted in an attempted break-in.
The couple’s Cotswolds property was reconnoitred by three people who were caught on CCTV, it was reported.
The fashion designer and her exengland footballer husband were on their way to Australia with sons Romeo and Cruz and daughter Harper when the attempted break-in took place on Friday, Mail Online reported.
CCTV images published by the website showed three people, one wearing a balaclava, near the property in Great Tew, Oxfordshire.
David is joining the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in Australia as an ambassador for the Duke’s Invictus Games for injured service personnel which are being held in Sydney. A spokesman for the Beckhams declined to comment.
Great Tew is also home to the Soho Farmhouse, a countryside retreat where The Sun newspaper said Meghan held her hen do.
The attempted break-in comes to light after David admitted that his marriage to Victoria is “hard work”.
In an interview with Australian TV show The Sunday Project, he said: “We recently did a Vogue front cover which was all about Victoria’s 10 years in fashion. The amount she has achieved in a short space of time…was a huge thing.
“But to be married for the amount of time that we have [19 years], it’s always hard work, everybody knows that but you make it work.”
