Trust BBC TWO, 9.00PM

 “This is the final act,” says mafia kidnapper Primo (Luca Marinelli), dreamily plotting how the ransom exchange of young John Paul Getty III (Harris Dickinson) will play out. But this is only the penultimate part of the drama, so it looks like he’s probably going to be disappointed. This drama continues to be a slightly overblown, but undeniably beautiful slowburner. GO

Dark Heart ITV, 9.00PM

 Although it’s episode three, this is really our first taste of Unforgiven writer Chris Lang’s extended cop drama (the opening two episodes were two-year-old repeats). See if you can spot the joins, as detective Will Wagstaffe (Tom Riley) probes a murder on the London Underground with his new team. It continues on Thursday. GO

The Bisexual CHANNEL 4, 10.00PM

 Desiree Akhavan’s comedy-drama takes another unexpected tack; in this episode, we flash back to 2005, when an awkward Killer By the Lake: Julie de Bona Leila (Akhavan) first arrives in London and meets Sadie (Maxine Peake), her future paramour. GO

Killer By the Lake CHANNEL 4, 10.35PM

 The latest offering from Channel 4’s reliably intriguing Walter Presents foreign-drama strand follows on from last year’s French thriller Vanished by

the Lake, with detective couple Lise (Julie de Bona) and Clovis (Lannick Gautry) relocating to another scenic waterhole – this time in Annecy – and taking on another perplexing case. GO
