Once again, Telegraph readers have shown their generosity in response to this year’s Christmas Charity Appeal. On the annual phone-in day yesterday, Telegraph staff, writers and charity ambassadors took donations of more than £84,000 for the three selected causes – Changing Faces, Young Minds and the Fire Fighters Charity. Their work makes a clear and significant difference to the lives of many people and, on their behalf, we thank all of those who have given so far.
