Roger, over and out

A kangaroo that became famous across the world for its muscular physique has died at the age of 12. Roger’s fame started when a 2015 picture of him was widely shared online. Chris Barnes, manager of The Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs, said it was “a very sad day ... we have lost our beautiful boy, Roger. Ten years ago I built this sanctuary to house Roger ... and a couple of his wives, Ella and Abigail. He grew up to be a kangaroo that people from all over the world have grown to love as much as we love him.”
