Shops make it easier for millennials to nail DIY
Stores are offering smarter home fixes to help millennial homeowners with their DIY.
Dunelm has developed a selfsticking wallpaper, with no need for paste, and sells self-adhesive vinyl splashbacks. Debbie Drake, the firm’s head of design, said that it hoped to encourage consumers back into DIY by “trying to come up with products that don’t require nails or screws”.
Ikea has introduced furniture without screws and bolts and Halfords is also offering expanded bike and car maintenance services after it found that almost two thirds of millennials could not change a tyre.
