Christmas countdown May’s week ahead
Today
Faces MPS for the first time since last week’s EU summit. Will warn that a second referendum would do “irreparable damage to the integrity of our politics”.
Tomorrow
Hosts a crunch Cabinet meeting at which Remain-backing ministers will urge her to take the threat of a no-deal Brexit off the table, while their Leave-backing counterparts will call for divorce preparations to be stepped up. Also the most likely day for Labour to seek a no-confidence vote should they want one before Christmas.
Wednesday
Faces another grilling from MPS at final PMQS of the year. The European Commission will publish a raft of no-deal preparation documents.
Thursday
The House of Commons rises for Christmas recess, returning on Jan 7.
