Ferreting attire

sir – Modern shirts were designed for wearing with a tie (Letters, December 15). Until someone designs another item of clothing that looks good without a tie, open-neck shirts should remain the attire solely for ferreting expeditions, Morris dancing, turnip harvesting and similar activities.
