Its not my fault
Astudy has found that most job application CVS contain errors of punctuation, especially unnecessary or missing apostrophes. Some would argue that it doesn’t matter if it is “it’s” or “its” that should be used in a sentence, but employers are right to expect a grammatically correct submission. An applicant’s confusion over “they’re”, “their” and “there” could be the end of a promising career before it has begun. But do employers make any allowances for that wretched computer autocorrection, which is forever adjusting perfectly proper spellings to add rogue apostrophe’s?
