Pc slapped female colleague’s bottom at royal wedding

A POLICE officer slapped a female colleague’s bottom when she bent over to pick up litter, a misconduct hearing was told.

Pc Clinton Geldard’s behaviour happened in the aftermath of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding in Windsor last May, when he also made lewd comments towards her.

Geldard, who resigned from Thames Valley Police after an investigation into his antics, was mentoring the woman when the incident occurred.

He did not turn up for the misconduct hearing and declined to contest the evidence against him.

In another incident, the hearing was told he sexually assaulted another officer in the operations room at Reading police station in April last year.

Geldard was found by the panel to have committed sexual assault on the two officers over their clothing.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said that despite resigning, the misconduct case was necessary to dismiss him for gross misconduct so that he is barred from returning to the profession in the future.
