Girls assaulted in Berlin ‘anti-migrant’ attacks
Police in Berlin are investigating two separate assaults against young girls believed to be motivated by antimigrant hatred.
An attacker punched two Syrian girls, aged 15 and 16, in the face in Berlin’s Marzahn district on Friday. Police said he allegedly “insulted both girls with anti-foreigner comments”.
In a second attack, in Neukoelln on Friday, a woman allegedly tried to pull a headscarf off a 12-year-old girl, making xenophobic comments and trying to stab her with a syringe.
