Sports utility room

SIR – Philip Corp (Letters, February 9) observes that some garages are too narrow for SUVS and that he can’t find anywhere practical to put his washing machine, tumble dryer and freezers but in the garage.

Can I suggest, in the absence of a kitchen, that they could be stored in an SUV? Many are so tank-like that there must be ample room for storage. Nigel Lines
