South African Nicholas Dlamini, 23, leads the peloton in driving rain over the Ouse at Boothferry Bridge, near Howden, on the first stage of the Tour de Yorkshire yesterday. Also racing in the 384-mile men’s event, finishing in Leeds on Sunday, are cycling stars Mark Cavendish and Chris Froome.
