Jimmy Savile abused me, VIP paedophile accuser claimed

-

A MAN accused of lying about a Westminster VIP paedophile ring named two men as abusers in his first recorded police interview – his stepfather and Jimmy Savile – a court has heard.

Jurors were shown video of Carl Beech weeping as he told a Wiltshire Police detective in 2012 that he had been abused by a group as a schoolboy, and claiming the disgraced television presenter had joined in on occasion.

Newcastle Crown Court has heard the defendant is himself a “committed and manipulative paedophile” who has admitted making and possessing indecent images of boys and voyeurism.

The 51-year-old, of Gloucester, told DC Mark Lewis that his stepfather, the late Major Ray Beech, started beating him soon after he and his mother, the Rev Charmian Beech, moved into an Army base officer’s accommodation.

Beech said Major Beech kissed him, and later committed sex acts on him and forced him to do the same. He claimed his stepfather later took him to an Army base where an older officer, who he believed to be a lieutenant colonel, made him undress.

In the interview, Beech said he was taken out of school to be abused by a group, one of them Savile.

Beech claimed Savile was there on three or four occasions and seriously sexually assaulted him each time, when he was aged nine or 10. He said he recognised the voice but he did not see the television star’s face, and that he remembered seeing a gold necklace.

Beech claimed he and other children were sexually abused by powerful figures – including former prime minister Edward Heath, the head of the Army and security chiefs – in the Seventies. He claimed the abuse ring murdered three children.

The court was told Beech’s stepfather was married to his mother for only four months, and had a history of domestic violence and drinking.

Beech denies 12 counts of perverting the course of justice and one count of fraud relating to a £22,000 criminal injuries claim.
