Data breach reports surge in wake of GDPR

More than 14,000 data breaches have been logged in the UK since General Data Protection Regulation came into force last May.

Between April 2017 and April 2018, only 3,311 breaches were recorded by the Information Commissioner. The number of complaints from the public has almost doubled, to 41,054.
