US fugitive breaks Facebook ‘deal’

A fugitive who told police in Connecticut he would surrender if their Wanted poster of him received 15,000 “likes” on Facebook had not turned himself in last night, despite the total number easily topping that.

The mugshot of Jose Simms, sought on seven warrants including risk of injury to a child, notched up more than 20,000 “likes” within 24 hours of the post by officers in Torrington.
