BUCKINGHAM PALACE July 17th
The Queen this afternoon viewed the Summer Opening Exhibition at Buckingham Palace celebrating the Bicentenary of Queen Victoria’s birth.
The Rt Hon Theresa May, MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury), had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.
By command of The Queen, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Jean-pierre Jouyet at 11 Kensington Palace Gardens, London W8, this evening in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the French Republic to the Court of St James’s.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, The Prince’s Countryside Fund, this morning visited Gregory Distribution Limited, Kingsmill Industrial Estate, Saunders Way, Cullompton, to mark the Company’s Centenary and was received by Commodore Jake Moores (Deputy Lieutenant of Devon).
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited Exmoor National Park at Simonsbath to celebrate the Seventieth Anniversary of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Somerset (Mrs Richard Maw).
Today is the Anniversary of the Birthday of The Duchess of Cornwall.
Her Royal Highness this morning visited the Donkey Sanctuary, Slade House Farm, Sidmouth, to mark their Fiftieth Anniversary and was received by His Honour Erik Salamonsen (Deputy Lieutenant of Devon).

The Duke of York this afternoon held a Luncheon at Buckingham Palace for Mr Wang Zhigang (Minister of Science and Technology, the People’s Republic of China).
His Royal Highness later received Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands.
The Duke of York this evening received Mr Andres Roemer (Founder, la Ciudad de las Ideas).
ST JAMES’S PALACE July 17th
The Princess Royal this morning opened the new Magnetic Resonance Imaging Unit at Conquest Hospital, the Ridge, St Leonards-on-sea, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of East Sussex (Mr Peter Field).
Her Royal Highness, President, Racing Welfare, this afternoon received Mr Joseph Newton upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr William Barlow upon assuming the appointment.
The Princess Royal, Royal Bencher, the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, this evening attended Choral Evensong at Temple Church followed by the Joint Amity Dinner at Middle Temple, London EC4.
