Ukraine releases ‘key suspect’ in MH17 crash
A court in Ukraine yesterday released from pretrial detention a man suspected of involvement in the shooting down of flight MH17 after Russia reportedly named him in a potential prisoner swap.
Vladimir Tsemakh was captured by Ukraine in June. He is believed to be a “person of interest” in the bringing down of Boeing MH17 in 2014, killing all 293 people on board. European politicians see him as a “key suspect” and want Kiev to make him available for testimony. A judge freed him, warning him not to try to flee.
