Driver seen ‘sleeping’ at wheel of autopilot Tesla

A video posted on Twitter appears to show a driver asleep at the wheel as his auto-piloted Tesla sped along an interstate highway at 60mph.

Dakota Randall, of Massachusetts, put a video on his Twitter which shows the Tesla Model X cruising on the Interstate 90 highway. The driver appears to be fast asleep with his head between his legs while his passenger also seems to be sleeping.

Tesla said: “At highway speeds, drivers [using autopilot] receive warnings every 30 seconds if their hands aren’t detected on the wheel.”
