Hotel rooms and sea views for asylum seekers
Scores of asylum seekers have been put up in a seafront hotel in Kent by the Home Office.
The Government booked out dozens of rooms at the Grand Burstin Hotel in Folkestone, Kent as an “emergency measure” for 59 migrants for two nights. The 550-bed hotel charges £37 a night.
Jenny Hollingsbee, a Folkestone & Hythe District councillor, said that there were “extenuating circumstances” around the booking.
