Plane crash fighter pilot rescued from power line

-

A fighter pilot was left hanging from a high voltage power line after his F-16 crashed in Brittany, France, yesterday.

Two Belgian air force pilots were forced to eject and use parachutes after suspected technical faults downed the warplane.

One pilot landed safely, but the second was caught on 250,000-volt wires. Both suffered slight injuries.

The plane crashed and caught fire, its wing destroying the roof of a house and landing 50m (160ft) away.

Officials said no-one on the ground was injured in the accident.
