Photo of Duke with Epstein victim is not fake, insists accuser

A PHOTOGRAPH of the Duke of York with a woman who was abused by Jeffrey Epstein as a teenager is not fake, the woman has said.

Virginia Roberts-giuffre, 35, claims that she was forced to have sex with the Duke, a former friend of Epstein’s, when she was 17.

A 2001 photograph of Ms Giuffre with Prince Andrew’s arm around her waist was dismissed as a fake by the Prince’s allies in August, with a source telling The Telegraph that the image had been doctored.

“The picture is a fake, and the girl’s story is a fantasy,” a source said. “Andrew’s fingers appear quite slender, like a girl’s fingers.

“His real fingers are actually much chubbier. Quite small and chubby.”

Ms Giuffre, in an interview with 60 Minutes Australia that will air this weekend, dismissed the suggestion that the photograph was doctored.

Tara Brown, the interviewer, told Ms Giuffre: “He says it’s not his arm and those are not his fingers.”

She replied: “Oh, the chubby fingers, I know. This is a real photo. That is Andrew.”

Ms Giuffre has claimed that she had sex three times with the Prince when she was 17. Allegations made in court papers released in the US also suggested that the Duke had flown a number of times with her on a private jet belonging to Epstein, who killed himself in jail on Aug 10.

All allegations against the Duke were struck from the court record in 2015 after being described as “immaterial and impertinent” by a judge.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman repeated its “emphatic and consistent denials” that the Duke of York had any sexual contact or relationship with Ms Giuffre.
